About Collierville Middle

History

The school was established in the fall of 1973 on a site at Peterson Lake Road. It originally taught students in grades 5-8. In fall 1976 the school moved to a new site at North Byhalia Road. The school now served students in grades 6-8. Then in 1995 the school moved to College Street in a premises exchange with Collierville High School. The current location is 580 Quinn Road and was designed by the Renaissance Group, located in Lakeland, TN. 

During the 1982-83 school year, Collierville Middle School was recognized with the Blue Ribbon School Award of Excellence by the United States Department of Education, the highest award an American school can receive. Collierville Middle was one of the first schools to receive this award.

Collierville Middle School’s mission is to provide an enriching, supportive environment designed to promote academic excellence, develop respect for all individuals, and expand the personal interests and talents of our students.

Each student is a valued individual with unique physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs.

Employees follow district, state, and federal policies to ensure that a safe and orderly learning environment is maintained.

Students will demonstrate an understanding of essential knowledge and skills; actively engage in solving problems, making decisions, and producing quality work; and meet or exceed NCLB goals.
