My name is Anita Swindle. After an early career in the corporate sector, I returned to school to obtain a degree in education at the University of Memphis. I later obtained both my Master of Education and Education Specialist degrees at Union University. I have served our community as an administrator at Collierville Middle since the inaugural year of our wonderful municipal school district. Overall, I’ve enjoyed 25+ years as an educator in various roles. I am entering my 5th year as principal at CMS, and I consider it a blessing to have the opportunity to support our amazing students and wonderful staff! Prior to my current role as principal, I served as a teacher, assistant principal at Shadowlawn Middle, central office supervisor with legacy Shelby County Schools, and five years as assistant principal at Collierville Middle. I was fortunate to work with students for many years as a teacher in our community, most spent in the halls of Crosswind Elementary and Schilling Farms Middle (now West). Collierville is my home, I have resided in Collierville for over 20 years, I love this community and want the very best for our children. My husband James is a teacher at Arlington High School, and we have two grown daughters, Katie and Samantha, who both attended Collierville schools and graduated from Collierville High School. I am honored to continue to serve CMS. Go Dragons!
