Submitting Elective Preferences

  • 7th Grade ELA Advanced Rubric

    A rubric for evaluating 7th grade ELA skills, with points awarded for different performance levels.

    A score of 7 out of 8 points is required for placement in 7th Grade Advanced English/Language Arts

    8th Grade ELA Advanced Rubric

    A rubric for evaluating 8th grade ELA students, with criteria for MVP Benchmark Assessments, TCAP scores, 7th grade averages, and AIMSWeb Winter Administration.

    A score of 7 out of 8 points is required for placement in 8th Grade Advanced Language Arts.

  • 7th Grade Math Advanced Rubric

    A rubric for evaluating rising 7th grade math students, with criteria for MVP Benchmark Assessments, TCAP scores, 6th grade averages, and AIMSWeb Winter Administration.

    A score of 7 out of 8 points is required for placement in 7th Grade Advanced Math.

    Rising 8th Grade Students are placed in either Standard Mathematics, Advanced Mathematics or  Algebra I Honors based on a multi-point rubric including Quarter 1- 3 grade average, 6th or 7th Grade Winter Mock Interim Assessment (administered Feb 12th - 14th), AimsWeb Winter Administration (administered Jan 9th - 23rd), and most recent TCAP Performance.

    Course placement will be communicated prior to the end of the school year. 

    8th Grade Math Advanced and Algebra I Rubric

    A rubric for placing 8th grade students in Advanced Math and Algebra I Honors, based on scores from various assessments.

    A score of 7 or 8 points is required for placement in 8th Grade Advanced Math.

    A score of 9 or 10 points is required for placement in Algebra I Honors.

  • 8th Grade Social Studies Advanced Rubric

    A rubric for 8th grade social studies, outlining criteria for 0, 1, and 2 points.

    A score of 7 out of 8 points is required for placement in 8th Grade Advanced Social Studies.

  • 8th Grade Science Advanced Rubric

    A rubric for 8th grade science advanced, with data points, scoring criteria, and point values.

    A score of 7 out of 8 points is required for placement in 8th Grade Advanced Science.
