The "Capturing Kids' Hearts" (CKH) Rising Star award recognizes schools in their first year of implementing the CKH program. This program focuses on fostering positive school culture through strong educator-student relationships. The award highlights schools that demonstrate measurable improvements in areas like attendance, academic performance, and school culture in their first year of implementing the CKH program. 

Collierville Middle School is one of six Collierville Schools recognized by the Capturing Kids Hearts organization. CKH recognizes that our teachers, administrators and staff are making intentional strides to uphold the EXCEL model during the first year of implementation.  EXCEL is a framework for building relationships and fostering positive classroom environments. It stands for Engage, Xplore, Communicate, Empower, and Launch, each representing a key aspect of effective teacher-student interaction and classroom management. This simply means our way of life at CMS focuses squarely on capturing students’ hearts through interactions and engagement. We love our students at CMS and CKH is a program that fits what we do every day!
