Tuesday:
Bellwork - 5-A-Day Language Review
Students should re-read the article silently, “The People Could Fly.” Begin the Think questions from the article. Students should answer using the RACE method in complete sentences. 
HW: Continue with the Harriet Tubman narrative writing assignment. This will be due on Thursday at the beginning of the class period.

Wednesday:
Bellwork – 5-A-Day Language Review 
Using the article, “The People Could Fly,” complete the Your Turn multiple choice questions for the Compare and Contrast skill. Read over the writing prompt and begin a 8-10 sentence constructed response to compare and contrast the two text.
HW: Continue with the Harriet Tubman narrative writing assignment. This will be due on Thursday at the beginning of the class period.

Thursday:
Bellwork – 5-A-Day Language Review
Distribute the poem packets – “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” by Robert Frost. Please have students read the poem silently and complete the questions for Reading 1, 2, and 3. Also, complete the Analysis page. 
HW: Continue the poem packet for “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.” This will be due on Tuesday, February 19^th. Make sure to submit the Harriet Tubman narrative writing assignment on Schoology before class tomorrow.
