CMS Administrative Team
My name is Anita Swindle. After an early career in the corporate sector, I returned to school to obtain a degree in education at the University of Memphis. I later obtained both my Master of Education and Education Specialist at Union University. I have served our community as an administrator at Collierville Middle since the inaugural year of our wonderful municipal school district. Overall, I’ve enjoyed 20+ years as an educator in various roles. Prior to my current role as interim Principal I served as a teacher, assistant principal at Shadowlawn Middle, central office supervisor with legacy Shelby County Schools, and five years as assistant principal at Collierville Middle. I was fortunate to work with students for many years as a teacher, most spent in the halls of Crosswind Elementary and Schilling Farms Middle here in Collierville. Collierville is my home, I have resided in Collierville for 20 years and I love this community. My husband James is a teacher at Arlington High School, and we have two grown daughters, Katie and Samantha, who both attended Collierville schools and graduated from Collierville High School. I am honored to continue to serve CMS. Go Dragons!

My name is Erika Beadle. I am the 8th grade assistant principal as well as the Master Scheduler for Collierville Middle School. I am grateful for the blessing of serving the Collierville community the last four years. After I graduated from Bentwood High School in 1993, I attended Southern Illinois University and completed a Bachelors of Science in English Education in 1996. It was also in 1996 that I began my teaching career as a ninth and tenth grade English teacher in the Memphis City Schools system. I completed my graduate degree in Administration and Policy studies from the University of Memphis in 1999. After nine years in education, I received additional administrative training at the University of Pennsylvania. I have over twenty-four years in education, fifteen of which are in educational administration. My experience spans the PreK-12 spectrum. My fantastic husband, Mark, also has over twenty-four years in education. For the past sixteen years, he has served as an 8th grade history teacher at Schilling Farms Middle School. My husband and I are honored to be educators in Collierville. I look forward to working with you to support the tradition of excellence that is Collierville Schools.
My name is Lisa R. Beauford and I am extremely excited to continue my career at Collierville Middle School. I will be returning as the 6th grade assistant principal! I was previously a 7th and 8th grade English/Language Arts, Honors ELA, Reading, and Writing teacher for the past five years. Prior to coming to CMS, I worked at Germantown Middle School for nine years, teaching APEX, English/Language Arts, Honors ELA, Writing, and Reading to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Christian Brothers University in May of 1998, but later decided to pursue a career in education. I returned to college at The University of Memphis and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching in May of 2004. After returning to Christian Brothers University for the second time, I earned a Master of Science in Educational Leadership in August 2013, and have been working in various leadership roles, most recently as an Instructional Coach during the 2018-2019 school year at CMS. It has definitely prepared me for my upcoming position as an assistant principal. I look forward to working with an outstanding administrative team which includes our new principal – Mrs. Anita Swindle, students, parents, faculty, and staff as we embark on a new school year at Collierville Middle School. I am so proud to be a CMS Dragon!
