Dearest CMS Choir Parents,
Please let me say how much I truly appreciate all of the cards, emails, gifts, love, prayers, and support extended these last few weeks with my Breast Cancer diagnosis and surgery. The Battle continues from here with radiation treatments, meaning a difficult end of the year in terms of absences and uncertainties in scheduling for me.
Due to the diagnosis, absences, and unforeseen circumstances, our Spring concert scheduled for Tuesday, May 1st will need to be cancelled. Students are aware, and you may have been told, but I did not want anyone to be inconvenienced by showing up needlessly. The students are so talented, and I know that you were looking forward to seeing them perform and for that I am truly sorry.
With that being said, I know that I have yours and the student’s support in doing what’s necessary to insure successful treatment and outcomes for myself. However, I would like to finish by stating that all of my Choir students and parents remind me on a daily basis why I am one lucky teacher and CMS is number 1.
