We will continue with Floor Hockey, learning to "stick-handle" both straight and zig-zag. We will work in game like settings in 2 minute intervals. 3rd and 4th periods (Mon-Tues) will run the P.A.C.E.R. All students should review the Floor Hockey Powerpoint and Study Guide/Terms to Know in Schoology. It is available in pdf format.  The quiz is also located there and must be completed by 2/14.

This week students will dress out, participate in warmups both static and dynamic. Weather permitting, we will run outside with warmups. We will begin Floor Hockey with a powerpoint. It is available in pdf format along with the Study Guide and Terms to Know in Schoology in your child's class with me.  A quiz is also located there and must be completed by 2/14.
This is brand new to C.M.S. thanks to one of the 3 grants I receive this year from the Collierville Education Foundation. C.M.S. has Awards programs Monday - Wednesday but students should come to class prepared to dress-out and participate.

This week Students will dress out each day, participate in warmups both static and dynamic. We will Learn Scoring in Bowling. We will use a game like setting with the 4 step approach, use the markers to position each roll, and try to keep score manually. 
**Students should review the Bowling Study Guide in Schoology and take the QUIZ within the within the next 2 weeks.

This week Dragons will review Rules, Locker Room Rules, Procedures, Expectations, and How Tos for P.E..
Students will dress out each day, participate in warmups both static and dynamic. We will begin Bowling. We will learn the rules of the game, the 4 step approach, how to use the markers to position each roll, and how to keep score.

This week in Physical Education students will start each day with warm-ups and running.  Most students will complete the P.A.C.E.R. this week. The weather will probably be cold so bring a sweatshirt just in case we get outside. We will plan to do group fitness, crab soccer, Drumfit, and circuits. If weather permits for other classes to go outside, our rotation will continue with Badminton. Students will use correct underhand serve, and serve to the correct court (evens right to left and odds left to right). Students will practice different shots - smash, drive, lob, and clears.

The weather will probably be cold so bring a sweatshirt just in case we get outside. We will plan to do group fitness. Welcome back from your Thanksgiving Break! This week in Physical Education students will start each day with warm-ups and running.  We will complete  some FitnessGram this week. The weather will probably be wet and cold. We will plan to do group fitness daily. If weather permits for other classes to go outside, our new rotation begins with Badminton. Students will use correct underhand serve, and service to correct court (depending on score). Students will also use fore and backhand grips. Students will practice different shots - smash, drive, lob, and clears.  Students should go to Schoology PE class and review the study guide and "Terms to Know" for Badminton. You  make take the quiz when you are confident you know the terms. (you will have 2 attempts)
**If the rain persists, we will dress-out and engage in fitness games and group activities indoors specifically crab soccer,  Omnikin Volleyball, and Drum-fit with circuits.

This week in Physical Education students will start each day with warm-ups and running. We will begin the Archery Unit (weather permitting). We will have one day of instructional safety and practice. and then we will begin target shooting. IF the weather does not cooperate, we will begin our rhythm and movement activities with cup stacking, drumming, hip hop, and yoga.
Be sure to login to Schoology, review the study guide - specifically rules and vocabulary, when ready- take your quiz. You have until 9/14 to complete. You will have two tries on the quiz.
