Unit 3 lessons 1-3 test.  We reviewed in class last Thursday and again Monday 3/18.    Know major characteristics of each biome.  See your chart and picture you took today in class on the board as review.

Biome Project - this is a test grade for the project itself.  See the rubric.  You have had this since 2/15.

Presenting your biome - Be ready to present your information to your class.  Know what you are talking about without having to read everything off of your powerpoint/poster/brochure/whichever form your marketing tool is.  Be sure to discuss (1) the name of your biome (2) where it is located (3) average temperatures and rainfall - be sure if it is very different from day to night OR season to season that you explain this (4) talk about some plants and their adaptations (5) talk about some animals and their adaptations (6) talk about other unique places to visit while in your biome.

UNIT 2 test - (1) study all charts, graphs, food webs, food chains, energy pyramids to be sure you understand what they tell you.  Can you see when populations increase?  Reach carrying capacity? If an organism is taken out of a food web, how does it affect organisms it eats?  What about the organisms that eat it?   (2) review vocab.  (3) review UO

 

Vocab - all unit 2.  Students have had over 3 weeks to complete all vocabulary for Unit 2.  They must have the word, definition, and a picture of the word (or sentence correctly using the word).  Definitions are from the textbook.  The picture or sentence should help you remember the word's meaning.

You finished # 9-13 over the weekend.  We are going over them tomorrow.  Remember a colored version of those 4 graphs (easier to read) is in Schoology and it says Screen Shot.

Yellowstone Wolves # 5-8.  Answers are in Schoology if you missed some of the details in class.

Notebook check - quiz grade

Review of chp. 8 (I copied onto a sheet and gave to you in class) - if you were absent or left the sheet at home - it is textbook pp. 555-559.  Quiz grade - 5 points for each correct answer.

Unit Objectives 1-4 due tomorrow.  Lost or left your Unit Objectives sheet at home?  It is also in Schoology under Unit 7.

TEST over objectives 1-9 - review your notes, vocabulary, objectives, labs, & review from the textbook.

Notebook check - all items must be in there in the proper order with your table of contents at the front, and a divider between all of your notes/CW/labs and the Energy Unit Sheet, objectives, and vocabulary.   I made a divider for anyone who did not have one.   See attached below.

Test Over Energy Objectives # 1-7

(1) The vocabulary from the Energy (goldenrod color) sheet - the 1st column + the word "joule" on top of the 2nd column.  Put them on your vocabulary page with the rectangles - this goes in your binder.

(2) Objectives # 1-9 (we have already done 1-5).  These go on a piece of notebook paper behind the goldenrod sheet and vocabulary.

(3) The sheet I gave you 9/24 that is a review of all we have done from the textbook.

This is helping you review for next Wedneday's test over Objectives # 1-9.

Finish and submit the online pendulum lab in Schoology if you did not finish in class with your group today.

Unit objectives # 1-5 - found in your science binder on the goldenrod sheet that says Energy Unit (also attached) - are due tomorrow.  You write each in a complete sentence on your own paper that answers that objective in complete sentences.  We did # 1-3 together in class.  This is a homework grade.

Lab Safety Test - you must make an 85 or better to participate in the labs in science this year.  See the lab safety handout you have.  We have also done many lab safety activities to help us review for this test.
