My name is Roger Jones III, and it is my honor to have the opportunity to return to the Collierville community as the principal of Collierville Middle School. Although I was not born and raised in Collierville, I am proud to say that my career was. After graduating from the University of Memphis in December of 2001, I began working at Schilling Farms Middle School as an 8th grade math and honors Algebra I teacher in January 2002. I enjoyed teaching at Schilling for 10 years before earning my administrative license. In January 2012, I took an interim assistant principal position at Schilling Farms Middle School. That same year I accepted the assistant principal position at Collierville Middle School. After the conclusion of the 2013-2014 school year, I accepted an assistant principal position at Arlington High School, and I eventually became the vice principal of Arlington High School. My wife Jenell is a first grade teacher at Donelson Elementary, and we have a daughter Zaria who has attended Collierville schools. Again, it is an honor to serve as the principal of Collierville Middle School, and I look forward to continuing its storied legacy. Go Dragons!!!
I have served our community as an assistant principal at Collierville Middle since the inaugural year of our wonderful municipal school district. I’ve enjoyed 20+ years as an educator in various roles. Prior to my current role I have held administrative positions as a SCS central office administrator and assistant principal at Shadowlawn Middle. I was fortunate to work with students for many years as a teacher, most spent in the halls of Crosswind Elementary and Schilling Farms Middle here in Collierville. The opportunity to serve at CMS feels very much like coming home to me! My husband James is a teacher at Arlington High School, and we have two grown daughters, Katie and Samantha, who both attended Collierville schools and graduated from Collierville High School. Having been a Collierville teacher and parent, I have a true understanding and appreciation of the high standards and expectations of the Collierville community in regard to education, and look forward to working with the students, parents, faculty and staff of CMS to continue that tradition of excellence. I am so proud to be a Dragon!
My name is Lisa Burton, and I am honored to join the phenomenal administrative team at Collierville Middle School as an assistant principal. Last year I had the pleasure of serving as an instructional resource and co-teacher in the 6th grade at CMS. While teaching in the Collierville community, I learned first-hand how dedicated the students, parents, teachers, and administrators are in ensuring that all students not only meet, but exceed their educational goals. My rewarding experience as a CMS Dragon further ignited my passion for becoming an administrator after 12 years of teaching. I earned my B.A. in English at Clark Atlanta University, an M.S. in Special Education at Queens College, and an M.S. in Educational Leadership at the College of Saint Rose. I am originally from Long Island, New York, and relocated to Tennessee in 2015 with my supportive husband Joe and two children, Autumn Rose (3) and Joe Jr. (2). I welcome the opportunity to work alongside all stakeholders in continuing the tradition of excellence Collierville Middle School provides. GO DRAGONS!
My name is Erika Beadle. I am excited about joining this wonderful CMS administrative team and grateful for the opportunity to serve the Collierville community. After I graduated from Bentwood High School in 1993, I attended Southern Illinois University and completed a Bachelors of Science in English Education in 1996. It was also in 1996 that I began my teaching career as a ninth and tenth grade English teacher in the Memphis City Schools system. I completed my graduate degree in Administration and Policy studies from the University of Memphis in 1999. After nine years in education, I received additional administrative training at the University of Pennsylvania. I have over twenty-one years in education, thirteen of which are in educational administration. My experience spans the PreK-12 spectrum. My fantastic husband Mark also has over twenty-one years in education. For the past thirteen years, he has served as an 8th grade history teacher at Schilling Farms Middle School. My husband and I are honored to be educators in Collierville, and I look forward to supporting the tradition of excellence that is Collierville Schools.
