Welcome to the Collierville Middle School Cross Country Page!  The primary goal of the CMS XC team is to provide students the opportunity to develop their running ability in a fun, but directed environment where both the individual and team accomplishments are important and recognized.

2018 Was Another Big Year for CMS XC!!

Lead by Team Captains Noah Flaskamp, Beckham Clements, Clayton Maxwell, Mackenzie Toussaint, Eva Kneipp, and Cami Cordell, the CMS Cross Country team just wrapped up its most successful season to date. Throughout the regular season MYA meets at Shelby Farms, the Girls’ team consistently placed 4th, and the Boy’s team consistently placed 2nd.  Both teams had several top 20 finishers (out of 200 - 350 runners) every meet.

On Wednesday, September 26th, both teams won the TMSAA Regional Championship in Martin.  They went on to compete in the TMSAA State Championship meet on October 6th in Clarksville.  There the Boys’ team placed 5th overall.  Beckham Clements took 23rd place.  The Girls’ team also came in 5th.  Emily Maxwell, Mackenzie Toussaint, and Allie Timms placed 7th, 9th, and 11th, respectively.

At the Regional meet on October 12th, the Boys’ and Girls’ teams qualified to compete at the Tennessee State Championships in Knoxville.  This was the second time for the Boys and the third time for the girls to qualify for this highly competitive meet.  The best runners from across the State were in Knoxville on October 20th to compete.  While there representing Collierville, our Boys’ JV team placed 9th.  Miles Grunwell placed 42nd and Henry Davis was 49th.  The Girls' JV team also placed 9th. Alyssa Loden placed 23rd and Allison Hulen was 29th.  The Boys' Varsity team placed 6th out of 30 teams.  Their highest finish ever!  Beckham Clements finished 44th, Noah Flaskamp was 58th, Clayton Maxwell was 60th, and Nathan Marchionda was 62th. The Girls’ Varsity team placed 5th out of 28 teams for the 2nd year in a row!  Emily Maxwell placed 24th, Allie Timms was 35th, and Mackenzie Toussaint was 55th.

Due to their performance at the TMSAA State Championship Meet in Clarksville, both the Boys’ and Girls’ teams qualified to represent Collierville at the Youth Cross Country National Championships in Louisville, Kentucky on November 17th.

With the 5th place finish for the girls at the Tennessee State Championships in Knoxville and top 100 finishes, the girls team and Beckham Clements, Noah Flaskamp, Clayton Maxwell, Nathan Marchionda, and RJ Curtis have qualified for the AAU National Championships in Knoxville on December 1st.

Congratulations to all of our runners for an amazing season!!
